A great picture! I like it too! Nevertheless this photo would not get this muchs Comments if it would not have been wildlife. This is not a criticism at you! But we, as "NFF's", should think about our grading (or rating) of pictures.
Because of Winni's Comment it's also obvious for me that this kind of photos are rare and not easy to shoot. So you get my biggest appreciation!
Even so, i could think of a cut which has more place below and on the right. The Sharpeness ist perfect!
Best regards

a great picture of a wildlife tiger. It must be greatful to see these stately animals. I like this picture very much. The reasons:
1. Its a tiger and its wildlife
2. Its very sharp
3. I like the monotonous colours of the picture
So there is nothing really to critisized, if we don't look at the to high cameraposition. But you've even explained it, that you couldn't leave the bus.
Very nice picture.
Best regards
Falco
Das ist ein ganz wunderbahres Bild.
Gratuliere!
Das war sicher ein ganz tolles Erlebniss.
Schöne Farben, gute Schärfe.

We saw only one tiger the first day, very quickly she was gone. But the second day was really a chance. In the morning we saw nothing on the canter bus (a terrible noisy open bus). In the afternoon we once again drew the same path we had in the morning (Ranthambor is split into 5 routes, which are chosen atthe agte in a lotto). My girlfriend and I were horrified and explained to the 2 couples with us it was a dry route with little to see. We tried to convince the guide to change paths if he could. After 30 minutes of trying we decided we must continue (the other people in the jeep became annoyed at being so late). After entering the park another jeep told us that a tiger was sitting by the lake on another path, it was a dangerous move for the driver to leave his path but he did it (for a larger tip!). The tiger was quite far but at least the other people saw it. Later we stopped on our own trail only to watch spotted deer, because the people in our jeep had not yet seen them. Suddenly a warning cry sounded and the deer ran off. Not long after a tiger appeared and wandered up a dry river bed. Suddenly another appeared and sat in front of us...soon she left and then another appeared. By now there were many jeeps and bus's and a circus of vehicles was trying to find the best spot. Luckilly our driver had a jeep and he moved in towards the river bed.
When the tigers had left our sight we drove back over looking the river bed. There through the trees we spotted a tiger in a water hole. at the time the guide told us it was one of the three. But once I arrived back in Munich I checked and the scars on this tiger were not on the others. This was the mother and also the 6th tiger we had seen. 5 tigers in one drive, amazing experience I will never forget.
But why? well, if we had not tried to change paths then we would have entered the park earlier. We would not have seen the first tiger perhaps...then we would have passed the dry river bed forty minutes too early to see the family. I consider myself very lucky in this case and I also wish I could tell the people on our jeep that the last tiger was infact a different tiger and they saw five not four tigers that drive.
Even writing about it now is exciting. Everybody should have the chance to see wild nature like this. I hope we can save wilderness for the next generations.

I'm one of the photographers that returned with not a single picture of tigers from Ranthambore. It was in 1996/97, when I spent ten days with 20 game drives in the park and did not even see a tail of a tiger. I've heard that meanwhile the situation turned to better.
This year I spent six days in Bandavghar: very poor chances for tigers as well, no sufficient images, terrible tiger shows…
Congratulation to your shot!

Danke!
Reinhard
die Gelegenheit sehr gut genutzt. Große Klasse.
