| These snakes live for many years in a certain place near where I live but never had the time to photograph them. Until this month. The weather was great and I found 8 snakes lying in the sun and 3 snakes swimming. They were very relaxed and waited on my belly with the tripod in the water. |

Ein wirklich sehr eindrucksvolles Portrait - besonders auch mit der Spiegelung und vor allem mit der ruhigen aber dennoch nicht sterilen Umgebung - ist Dir hier gelungen!

Thanks for the "transjodelation" (aka bavarian-english translation)
But as Edwin statet before he's able to read german. Therefore i didn't want to bother/amuse him with my poor english, especially according to "sterile"

An impressing Natrix natrix portrait. The snakes head is perfectly in focus and I especially like the blurring due to tongue flickering. Rotating the picture just a little bit CCW and it would be perfect.
However, this is one of the best natrix pictures I have ever seen. Thank you very much for sharing.
