Fadenhaft (Nemoptera sinuata)
© Emil Enchev

The Nemoptera is a typical species that prefers warmer climates and lives in the southern parts of Bulgaria. The larvae bury themselves in the sand and actively hunt for prey on the surface of the soil. The adults feed on flower pollen and nectar. They are most active and easiest to spot from late spring until the middle of summer on sunny slopes covered with flowers. With best regards from Bulgaria Emil. |

Hi Emil!
I have never seen this insect before either, but would very happily try to take a photo of it if I did.
You definitely succeeded in presenting it in a really convincing way.
I might have preferred a position slightly more towards the right side, and maybe a little more sharpness on its head. I like the yellow flowers, too.
A late welcome from
Pascale

Hi !
This animal looks very interesting. I have never seen it before. I like your picture a lot, especially because of the yellow flowers. They give the Nemoptera a perfect frame.
Kindest regards !
