Another successful season with Capercaillie photography in progress.

Every winter 30 to 40 Long-eared owls wintering in a small church yard. Since beguiling of November they start to arrive on his favourite spot. It was pleasant to see them in yellow threes. Now I am waiting the… snow.

Krushuna Falls is a waterfall in northern Bulgaria, near the village of Krushuna, Letnitsa Municipality, 34 km from the city of Lovech. They are famous with their picturesque landscape and are formed by many travertines.

Rila mountain/Bulgaria it’s a home for healthy population of Capercaillie.

This spring we had successful Capercaillie project. It was great to see how different males(I found 4 of them in one area) defend his breeding territories. I was sitting on ’’the border’’ and two males was next to my left and right hand side presenting with their great style!

On 01st of January 13.10PM I made my firs shot for this year. At this time of the day the light was not so great, but anyway I was happy the be close to my favourite pair of Golden eagles and their young (on the picture). Happy New Year all of you!
